Delete your LetsCarp account

How to request deletion

Email us from the email address linked to your LetsCarp account, using the subject line “Account deletion request”. If you cannot access that email address, contact us anyway and we will help you verify your identity another way.

We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.

What we delete

• •Your LetsCarp account and sign-in credentials.
• •Your profile information: name, username, phone number, date of birth and profile photo.
• •Your fishing diary: sessions, catches, catch and session photographs, venues, lakes, swims, spots, named fish and target fish.
• •Your saved weather location preferences and coordinates.
• •Your rod licence details.
• •Your achievements, XP, streaks and challenge progress.
• •Your leaderboard entry.
• •Your marketing preferences and consent history (only the minimal record needed to show consent was withdrawn is kept, where required).
• •Your event interest registrations.
• •Personal advertising interaction records linked to your account.

What we may keep, and why

• •Completed public event results and event records may be kept in an anonymised or de-identified form, because they form part of that event's historical record.
• •Records LetsCarp is legally required to keep, for example for tax or accounting obligations.
• •A minimal audit record that the deletion took place, so we can demonstrate we acted on your request.

Public event content

If you uploaded a logo, cover image or artwork to a public LetsCarp event, that material may remain visible as part of the event's public record even after your account is deleted. Contact us if you want a specific item removed.

Third-party providers

Information held by the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy is handled under their own retention rules. Where we can, we ask them to delete it.
